Rice and Beans
Patria
Jake and Shawna-Lee Stubbe visited Patria and her daughter, Farconeris on a home visit during their most recent trip to the Dominican Republic. They found out that Patria often tries to help the needy around her by supplying meals to them. She focuses on seniors and those physically challenged who are having difficulty cooking for themselves. Jake looked into the price of a large quantity of rice and beans and decided that providing Patria with a 125 pound bag of rice and 25 pounds of beans for $100 USD it would go a long way in helping her feed the needy in her neighbourhood. Within that $100 USD she also received 20 pounds of spaghetti noodles and spices.
