Women's Discipleship Day October 2024

 My name is Shawna-Lee Stubbe. I live on beautiful St. Joseph Island with my wonderful husband of 13 years who is my greatest cheerleader and supporter in ministry, along with our cat named Lou. My claim to fame is that I presently and proudly own a 1962 VW Combi Bus!

My husband and I share in a Not – For Profit ministry in the Dominican called Food For Life and Hope. FFLAH supports pastors in feeding those in their congregations and communities with food. Along with that ministry, I have been invited to speak in local churches there.

Months ago, I was challenged to write my own personal mission and vision statement and it became the Mission and Vision Statement of Life and Hope Ministries.

Christ, my Saviour, has led me to a place of living freer and deeper in Him. He is constantly showing me how to live that freedom in my home, workplace and community. I have a deep desire to encourage others to come to this same fuller understanding of who we are and who we can be IN Christ. God gave me a dream to plan and host a Women’s Retreat in the Spring of 2023 and it is now an annual event along with a one-day Discipleship Day each fall. I have He is also opening doors for me to speak at other retreats both in the Dominican and here at home.

The JOY of the Lord is definitely MY strength, and the Word of God is the Bread I live on daily. His Spirit fills my soul and teaches me. I simply want to share that with others no matter where I am.

I will have an opportunity to share in local churches in the Dominican Republic as well as at a Women’s Conference.
